Mixed Media Print
A mixed-media piece and its accompanying writing wrought in the post-election climate, to be displayed at the “Nasty Woman” group exhibition in Queens, NY in January 2017.
9.5”x12”, graphite, silkscreen print
Text in print:
Am I nasty? No. Not in the way it’s meant as it rolls off the tongues of the fearful. To be heard, to be bold, to express, to challenge, to love in the way we choose, this is our right, it is human. The fearful may try to objectify, but I claim it all. My body is beautiful, my mind is full, and my heart is courageous. Am I nasty? No, but through the absurdity of being called as much, I have come to see how truly incredible I am.
